Collect donations for your charity

There are two places to send your supporters to donate on Facebook:

Send supporters to a donation website of your choice

These tools are available to any charity:
  • Donate button in Page header: add a donate button to your Page header and collect donations through a website of your choice
  • Donate button in ads: Add a donate button to ads and collect donations through a website of your choice

Drive supporters to donate directly on Facebook

These tools allow charities to collect donations directly on Facebook, so supporters don’t have to leave Facebook to give.
  • Donate button in Page header: add a donate button to your Page header and collect donations on Facebook
  • Donate button in posts: add a donate button to your Page posts and collect donations on Facebook
  • Donate button in Facebook Live: add a donate button to live video and collect donations on Facebook
Eligibility: charitable organisations based in selected countries are eligible to apply. Learn more about eligibility and apply now.

Enable people to fundraise for your charity

In addition to collecting donations directly from people, you can also activate your strongest supporters to raise money for your organisation. There are several tools you can share with your supporters to encourage them to fundraise on your behalf. See below:
  • Fundraisers: Fundraisers let people set up a dedicated Page to raise money for your charity from their Facebook community. They can use this Page to share their personal story, tell others about your mission and build support around a fundraising goal.
  • Donate button in posts: People can add a donate button to their posts. The donate button can be attached to any post including a video, photos or text.
  • Donate button in Facebook Live: To make it easier to collect donations during a live video, people and now admins of verified Pages will be able to add a donate button directly to their live videos to raise money for a charity.
  • Charitable Pages: These are destinations where you can send people to create a fundraiser for your charity, see existing fundraisers from other supporters and learn how Facebook fundraisers work.
Eligibility: Supporters with a Facebook profile can create fundraisers and add donate buttons to posts and live video. Learn more about charity eligibility requirements, then apply here. Questions about fundraising tools? Visit the Help Centre.
